The Team & Background

Club van Delft was founded in 2007 by Martin Nagelsmit and Nathan Volkers. Having different educations and student associations as their background, they created a network that transcended student associations and the universities: Club van Delft. Since then it has grown into a company with multiple managing partners with a full-time engagement and a large group of thinkers in our ‘BrainPool’. The partners act as consultants that lead the innovation processes in terms of both content and proceedings. The ‘BrainPool’ network is continually refreshed and draws from various universities through our recruitment and selection program.

The company consists of a limited amount of managing partners and hundreds of students from int.al: Delft University of Technology, Erasmus University Rotterdam, VU University Amsterdam and practically all other universities in the Netherlands. The diversity in our network allows us to create the right combinations of knowledge and backgrounds at all times, a mixture of analytical skills, creativity and both economic and business academics.

Delft and the Club van Delft
Aside from the days at our clients, we can be found in our office in Delft, where we receive clients, select students for the BrainPool, work on projects and drink excellent espresso. The office is in the old ‘Mijnbouw’ faculty, and there are various rooms in which we can facilitate our meetings. Delft is important for the Club van Delft; it is the city where the company was founded and it is where its founders acquired the skills and knowledge that are fundamental for the company’s approach.
